Finally plauer.net is online and functioning!  It's my place to share my thoughts, ideas, and the resources I've compiled over the years for ministry. 

As Pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Mankato, MN, I contribute to that site as well: as the pastor.  Here, I'm a man blessed with a theological education, nearly two decades in pastoral ministry, a husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law and so on.  Maybe I'll be blessed to be a grandfather some day.  By then, I will have collected here a piece of myself, of my thoughts, my passions, my positions. 

This site is not intended to be a theological or practical resource for other pastors or to describe or defend the position and beliefs of my congregation, Districft, or Synod.  You'll find my thoughts to be incomplete and sometimes even contradictory.  I understand that and I hope you will too.  However, I will, in time, welcome the reactions and contributions of others to what I've written. 

As you peruse these pages, realize that no one post, section, or even the entire sight can reflect the sum of my beliefs and practices.  I cannot go into the detail which has been passed on to us through the prophets, apostles, church fathers, reformers, and theologians.  Just remember that it's behind it all.  You'll see my confession of faith elsewhere, but you should know that I believe in the inerrancy and immutability of the Scriptures and subscribe unconditionally to the doctrines of the Lutheran Confessions.    

There, that's at least a partial introduction to what you'll find spread throughout these pages.  So look around and let these pages spur your own thoughts and beliefs.
